about

lyrics

Reimagination of the short tale "Ella" (She) written by Andrés Carvajal in his book "El Amor de los Enciclopedistas" (The Encyclopedists' Love).

(Storyteller)
Sit down around the fire
And hark what I speak
An unpleasant story of desire
And the evocation of her tears

Figures she used to draw
Trying to feel on her own
Wondering if there was a cause
Sweeping her tears

Suddenly she saw a hand
The beauty lines of a man
Her first draw of that kind
Sweeping her tears

Stabbing with horror what she created
Crimson canvas tailored with hatred

So silent this room
Lying on the floor
Sweeping her tears

The paintbrush was broken
Eyes still open
Sweeping her tears

(Dialogue)
Then she felt a human warm
The naked body of that drawn man
“Stand-Up, from the scratch you have to start”
He softly whispered and took her hand

(Storyteller)
Light up and feed the fire
This story is yet concluded
For her life that was entire
Built by passion and her tears
